Bellefontaine Police were dispatched to Wendy’s on South Main Street Wednesday evening in reference to a driver with an open container.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with Todderick Jenkins of West Mansfield.
Officers observed the odor of alcohol coming from Jenkins and observed several signs of impairment, including glossy bloodshot eyes and slurred speech.
Two children were in the backseat of the vehicle.
Officers also observed an open container of Bud Light in the center console.
When asked to exit the vehicle, Jenkins complied and was submitted to several intoxication tests, failing each one.
Officers placed Jenkins under arrest and transported him to the Bellefontaine Police Department, where he agreed to a breath test.
Jenkins blew a 0.254, which is more than three times the legal limit.
Jenkins was charged with two counts of OVI, two counts of Endangering Children, and Liquor Consumption in a Motor Vehicle.
He was then released to a sober driver.
A report will be forwarded to Logan County Children Services for review.
