The Indian Lake High School show choir, The Meistersingers, will present their annual EXTRAVAGANZA on Friday, November 10th, and Saturday, November 11th at 7 pm in the high school auditorium.

The ILHS Meistersingers and Vocal Jazz Ensemble will perform on both nights.

Special acts will be divided between the 2 nights, meaning different shows will be presented each night.

The 7/8 Grade Sophisticlefs show choir will perform on Friday night only.

The 5/6 Grade Spectaculars show choir will perform on Saturday night only.

Donations will be accepted at the door and will go toward the IL Musical Athlete Scholarship.

Concession will be available both nights prior to the show.

The Meistersingers and VJE are directed by Tracey Notestine with choreography by Rebecca Taylor, the Spectaculars are directed by Belle Elliott, and the Sophisticlefs are directed by Amanda Strayer.

The Bellefontaine High School Drama Club will present their one-act play “The Pitch” on Saturday, November 11th at 7 p.m. and Sunday, November 12th at 2 p.m. in the BHS auditorium.

It’s a 30-minute, very cheesy, and lighthearted play where a hopeful writer pitches idea after terrible idea to a producer for different TV movies and shows.

It’s very silly and whimsical.

Admission is by donation.

Director Brice Henry said, “This drama club is very small (8 people), very inexperienced (all freshmen and sophomores), and very fun. They have been working hard to learn the ‘ins and outs’ of the stage and drama process.”

“It’s certainly not the most groundbreaking production, and some may even need to have scripts with them. However, they’ve not given up, have put forth many hours of work, and are proud of what they are doing. They deserve to be celebrated! Please come and encourage them this weekend.”
