Local Students Honored on Wall of Fame at Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken

Local students were celebrated for their leadership, kindness, and community spirit during a special ceremony at Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken in Bellefontaine on Tuesday evening.

The restaurant’s Wall of Fame recognizes up to six students each quarter from Bellefontaine City Schools and Calvary Christian School, highlighting their contributions both inside and outside the classroom.

For the first quarter of the 2024/2025 school year, the following students were honored for their outstanding achievements:

– Bellefontaine Elementary – Lilith Halloran, a first-grader at Bellefontaine Elementary, was chosen for her determination, resilience, and positive attitude. Lilith approaches every challenge with strength and a smile, always eager to learn and make new friends. Her kindness and perseverance have made her a beloved student at BES, and the school is proud of her growth and achievements.

– Bellefontaine Intermediate – Iris Lin was selected for her hard work, consistent participation, and kind nature. Iris is always striving for excellence and never hesitates to encourage her classmates. Her willingness to help others and her positive leadership qualities make her an outstanding Chieftain.

– Bellefontaine Middle School – Boston Coons was recognized for his friendly personality, positive attitude, and commitment to his work. Boston engages with his peers and teachers and always gives his best effort in assignments. His upbeat personality helps make BMS a better place every day.

– Bellefontaine High School – Tanner Ballinger was honored for embodying the spirit of a true Chieftain leader. Tanner demonstrates respect, kindness, and leadership both inside and outside the classroom. His genuine character and dedication make him a role model for others, and the community is proud to support his bright future.

– Calvary Christian School (4th-8th grade) – Kinnley Harshfield was chosen for her determination, kindness, and willingness to help others. Kinnley overcomes academic challenges with a cheerful attitude and volunteers to help teachers and staff. Her selflessness, joy, and honesty set a great example for her peers.

– Calvary Christian School (High School) – Raylea Henry was recognized for her outstanding work ethic and selflessness. Recently, Raylea spent the day helping neighbors with various projects, including yard work and cleaning, all while refusing payment. Her genuine care for others and her servant’s heart have earned her praise from both her neighbors and school community.

Each of these students was selected for their leadership, selfless service, and dedication to making their school and community better.

Their photos and achievements will now hang on the Wall of Fame at Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken, a visible reminder of their hard work and positive contributions.
