Thursday evening, Washington Township officers were on patrol on State Route 235 near County Road 91 and stopped Eric Lochtefeld, 58, of Lakeview, for going 75 MPH in a 55 MPH zone.
As officers spoke with him, they noticed signs of drug use.
K9 Tega from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office was requested and alerted on the vehicle.
A probable cause search was conducted and crack cocaine and a pipe were located.
Lochtefeld was taken into custody and transported to the Logan County Jail.
He was charged with possession of drugs, drug paraphernalia, and speed.
Also on Thursday, Washington Township Police were on patrol on US Route 33 near Lincoln Boulevard and stopped Kail Guyan, 36, of Russells Point, for a marked lanes violation.
Upon making contact with Guyan, signs of drug use were observed.
K9 Bruno was requested and alerted on the vehicle.
A probable cause search was conducted and found fentanyl and syringes.
Guyan was taken into custody and transported to the Logan County Jail.
He was charged with possession of fentanyl and drug abuse instruments.
