Early this morning, Kevin Allison, woke up, noticed the TV in his living room was on, and found an unknown woman asleep on his couch.

He told her to leave his home, and when she did, he called the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies found 29-year-old Ashley Coates walking down Township Road 108 just outside of Huntsville.

She told deputies that she had recently been released from jail, was homeless, and had met a woman who said she could stay at Allison’s home.

When she arrived, she went inside, drank juice from the fridge, found some blankets in the office, and rested on the couch to watch TV.

She even mentioned to deputies that she assumed the property was a rental and the woman was kindly allowing her to stay there.

Coates was placed under arrest, and transported to the Logan County Jail where she was lodged on burglary, trespassing, and theft charges.
