Tuesday night, a deputy from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office was sitting stationary in Bellefontaine when a vehicle passed them with the security alarm going off.
When a traffic stop was attempted, the driver later identified as Trenton Matthews pulled into a driveway and fled on foot.
Several deputies and officers from the Bellefontaine Police Department searched the area and were unable to locate Matthews.
It was discovered that he had several warrants out for his arrest and had fled from the BPD before.
Matthews was located a short time later and fled BPD officers.
He was located in the early morning hours of Wednesday and transported to the Logan County Jail.
Matthews was charged with Failure to Comply.
