OHP hosts Rotary Pancake Breakfast this morning

You’re invited to a breakfast that supports education today.

The Bellefontaine Rotary Club will host a scholarship pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center.

Breakfast includes (all-you-can-eat) buttermilk or pumpkin pancakes, sausage, orange juice, milk, and coffee.

The cost is $8 and kids under 5 are free.

Something new was added to the menu this year, made-to-order eggs cooked by OHP Culinary Arts students at an additional cost.

Proceeds will benefit scholarships for Logan County students.

Rowdy Rod, the Balloon Artist, will be at the breakfast.

Local entertainment will be provided by Bellefontaine High School Les Fons Showchoir at 8:30 a.m. and the Benjamin Logan High School Jazz Combo at 9:15 a.m.

Rotarian Becky Hoffman has these comments:

Last spring, the Bellefontaine Rotary Club gave eight $1,000 scholarships at the Rotary Honors Night, and they are looking to exceed that number this year.

The Bellefontaine Rotary Club has been doing this breakfast since 2016.

Over 30 volunteers help the event run smoothly and more than 20 students from local Interact Clubs assist.

Other fundraisers for the scholarship fund include Lemon Shake Ups that are sold at various events such as the Hot Summer Nights Cruise-In, Indian Lake Fall Festival, and First Fridays in Bellefontaine.
