If I were the Principal for the day: If I were the principal for the day, I would host a leadership and enrichment day. The school would invite local businesses to come out and talk to our students about their business and how they developed it. They could also set up a shadowing day for high school students so that they can learn about managing and developing a business.
Favorite School Memory: My favorite school memories are from the drama each year. Late nights and backstage shenanigans make it my favorite season of year.
People Who Have Been an Inspiration to Me: My parents, grandparents, sister, Mrs. Labelle, Mrs. Hermiller, Ms. LeCrone, Mrs. Wylie.
Lately, I have been reading: The Other Half of Church by Jim Wilder and Michel Hendricks.
My advice to parents: Don’t underestimate the capability of your child. Giving them responsibilities and holding them accountable will encourage them to grow in confidence, discipline, and character. They will thank you later.
My favorite Scripture verse: Philippians 4:6-7
What I will be doing after high school: I will be attending college to study political science and business to pursue a career in law.
What I am looking forward to most after high school: I am looking forward to meeting new people and seeing what God has in store for the next chapter of my life.
What I will miss the most: I will miss all of my amazing friends and teachers and all of our fun conversations and debates.
Natalie Wish is the daughter of Jason and Kristin Wish.
School Activities & Awards: National Honor Society, Key Club (secretary 2022-23), YLA, FCA, track and field, honor roll, teacher’s aide, choir, Spartan group leader, acted in all four school plays.
If I were the Principal for the day: I would cancel school.
Favorite School Memory: It’s hard to choose, so I’d say either the trip for YLA last year or Ms. LeCrone’s geography class.
People Who Have Been an Inspiration to Me: My parents, my grandma “Gaga”, my friends, and each one of my teachers.
Lately, I have been reading: I’ve been reading my Bible and basically any mystery book I can find.
My advice to parents: Let your kids be kids. They are only young once and have the rest of their lives to have big responsibilities and pressures. Let them take control of their own learning and let them learn from their own mistakes.
My favorite Scripture verse: James 1:22- “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”
What I will be doing after high school: I will be attending Cedarville University to major in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Business Administration.
What I am looking forward to most after high school: I’m looking forward to going to my dream college and meeting new people!
What I will miss the most: I will miss seeing my best friends every day, and just being a carefree kid.
Congratulations!
