The Logan County Health District has scheduled a public hearing to discuss proposed changes to Environmental Health fees, which are set to take effect in 2025.
The hearing will take place on Wednesday, November 13th, at 1:00 p.m., in the Health District’s conference room, located at 310 South Main Street in Bellefontaine.
Each year, the Ohio Revised Code requires public health districts to perform a cost methodology analysis to determine the fees they can charge for certain licenses.
This includes licenses for operating pools, campgrounds, restaurants, and other regulated establishments.
The Logan County Health District recently completed this cost methodology and held the first reading of the new environmental health fees during its October Board of Health meeting.
The second reading, which will include a public hearing, is scheduled for November 13th.
The proposed fee schedule includes both increases and decreases across various services.
Some fees, such as the permit fee for operating swimming pools and campgrounds, will rise, while fees for most food licenses will be reduced.
The public is invited to attend the hearing, ask questions, and provide feedback on the proposed changes.
