Kenton Quint, 66, of Bellefontaine, was arraigned in a Bellefontaine Municipal Courtroom on Friday morning, facing charges of murder, with a firearm specification, following the tragic death of his wife, Wanda Quint, earlier this week.

During the hearing, Judge Jacob Estes set Quint’s bond at $1 million.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.

Earlier this week, a 911 call revealed Quint told dispatchers he shot Wanda, inside their Clagg Street home.

The motive behind this violent act remains unclear, as investigators have not yet determined the cause.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the events that led to the tragedy.
