The Bellefontaine Joint Recreation District is inviting young artists across Logan County to take part in a new T-shirt design contest tied to its upcoming Fridays in the Park summer enrichment initiative.

The contest is open to any Logan County K–12 student, with organizers looking for a creative design that reflects the fun, energy, and community spirit of the summer program.

The winning artwork will be printed on official event T-shirts distributed during the series.

Fridays in the Park will run from May 29th through August 14th.

The program is free, requires no registration, and is designed for school-age children.

Each session will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by lunch at noon.

Design submissions must be completed in black ink only on an 8×10 sheet of paper.

Students may include a signature or small logo in the corner.

The final design will be printed on a white shirt that participants will later tie-dye during the program.

The winning design will be featured on shirts given to the first 150 children in attendance, giving the selected artist a chance to become what organizers are calling a “Logan County celebrity.”

The featured event tied to the contest will be held Friday, June 26th at Blue Jacket Park.

Submissions can be mailed to The REACH at 104 South Madriver Street, Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311, or emailed to Sarah Crumm at [email protected].

The deadline to enter is Monday, May 4th.
