A 42-year-old man was arrested Saturday evening after deputies responded to a reported domestic disturbance at a home near Wapakoneta.

According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to a home in the 12800 block of Township Road 86 around 7:00 p.m. Saturday after a report that Brian Hill, 42, was throwing items inside the home and yelling at the victim.

Deputies spoke with Hill, who said he and the victim had argued and that he went outside before the situation escalated.

He denied threatening the victim.

The victim told deputies Hill had just woken up from a nap and began yelling and threatening to beat him up.

The victim also said Hill drew back his fist as if he was going to strike him before 911 was called.

Hill has been arrested and jailed multiple times over the past several months in connection with similar domestic violence incidents.

Deputies also noted in their report that he has previously been taken to a hospital for mental health evaluations.

After speaking with both men, deputies arrested Hill on a charge of domestic violence.

He was transported to the Logan County Jail, and the case has been forwarded to Bellefontaine Municipal Court.
