The Riverside Board of Education met in regular session Tuesday night after an Executive Session to discuss personnel issues. Superintendent Dr. Scott Mann informed the board that Graduation will be held on May 15, 2026. More information will be released at a later date.
Dr. Mann also informed the board that Ohio Hi-Point has announced that their graduation will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 6:30. The ceremony will be held at Bellefontaine High School.
The board also approved Dr. Mann’s report to the board and several consent agenda items, most of which involved personnel and employment issues, including the approval of substitute teachers and supplemental contracts.
Dr. Mann also advised the board that he has accepted the resignation of Middle/High School Principal Kelly Kauffman at the end of the 2025-2026 contract year. Dr. Mann said that Kauffman’s resignation will leave a large gap:
Dr. Mann also said that current Elementary Principal Bryce Hodge and Assistant K-12 Principal Seth Meyer will be PK-12 Co-Principals effective August 1, 2026. Dr. Mann talks about this change:
In addition, several district teacher and classified contracts have been offered for the 2026-2027 school year. Also, several athletic supplemental contracts for the next school year have been offered.
District Treasurer Ronnie Fitchpatrick updated the board on the district’s financial condition. He said that property tax collection has been better than he expected, and income tax payments will be arriving shortly.
The next meeting of the Riverside Board of Education will be on May 19, 2026, at 5:30 PM in the district library.
