The Riverside High School Student Council members worked to help organize a special veterans event on Monday.
Students started organizing duties and introductions two weeks ago.
On the morning of the Veterans Day Assembly, they came to school ready to get to work as soon as the first bell rang to set up the gymnasium.
Students sang in the choir, played in the band, served breakfast, read at the podium, and finally helped to tear down.
The Majesty Quartet sang special music, Don Klingler and his daughter Alyssa Hodge were guest speakers, and Junior High Social Studies Teacher, Jack Switzer, sent in a special message, as he continues to serve our country on active duty.
Several Veterans from the community attended the event and enjoyed breakfast.
