The Holiday Season can be very difficult for those who have lost a loved one.
As a way to honor and remember loved ones who have passed on, the Riverside Interact Club decided to sponsor the Remembrance Tree Project.
The project was funded by the Interact Club and a Mary Rutan Foundation grant written by High School Principal Kelly Kauffman and School Counselor/Interact Advisor Debbie Gonterman.
Members of the Riverside Interact Club set up and decorated each tree.
All students and staff were invited to create Christmas ornaments in memory of their loved ones.
The Interact Club guided students and staff in making their ornaments.
After being displayed at school, ornaments will be taken home.
There are a total of 5 trees split between High School, Junior High, Elementary, and Staff.
