Congratulations to February’s Seniors of the Month for Calvary Christian School, Anastacia Rogan & Madhuri Cook.

Anastacia Rogan, daughter of Rob and Stacy Rogan.

School Activities & Awards: NHS, Key Club, YLA, Drama, Band, Choir, Volleyball, Basketball, Track, Chapel Worship, Volleyball 1st Team All-Conference, JV Basketball Best Offensive Player, 9 Varsity Track school records.

If I were Principal for the day: I would cancel school for the day and take all students and staff to Cedar Point for free.

Favorite School Memory: 8th grade YLA trip to Columbus.

People Who Have Been an Inspiration to Me: My pastor, my mom, and Mrs. Hermiller.

Lately, I have been reading: The Bible

My advice to parents: Take the time to listen and learn to understand your child.

My favorite Scripture verse: Micah 7:7-8 As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me. Do not gloat over me, my enemies! For though I fall, I will rise again. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light.

What I will be doing after high school: I plan to go to college and major in accounting.

What I am looking forward to most after high school: I look forward to marrying and raising a family to love the Lord.

What I will miss the most: I will miss 9th period study hall.

Madhuri Cook, daughter of Eric and Domini Cook.

School Activities & Awards: Class President, Bellefontaine Police Wall of Fame Recipient, NHS, Key Club, YLA, FCA, ASB, Robotics team, Broadcasting team, Volleyball, Basketball, Track, Spring Drama, Spartan Group Leader.

If I were Principal for the day: If I was principal for the day, I would bring in lots of food trucks and giant bounce houses! Our world needs more fun 🙂

Favorite School Memory: I would say our class debates because they are intensely fun or going on the survival trips with Mr. D!

People Who Have Been an Inspiration to Me: Parents, Mary Temple, Cheri Cooper, Sarah Wilson, Hannah Kilgore

Lately, I have been reading: Heaven rules by: Nacy Wolgemuth (highly recommend)

My advice to parents: I have two things: 1. Enjoy the little moments with your kids because one day they’ll be the ones you cherish most. 2. Kids don’t understand how much you sacrifice for them until they have to make their own choices, so just know that there will be a day when they come to truly appreciate and adore you for it.

My favorite Scripture verse: Proverbs 4:23 “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”

What I will be doing after high school: I will be participating on a 9-month missionary expedition to four different countries. When I get back, I plan on going to college and majoring in Biblical counseling with a minor in intercultural communication.

What I am looking forward to most after high school: I am excited to experience God in new challenging ways!

What I will miss the most: I will miss the intentional relationships that I have built with my teachers. Also, the French toast sticks!

Congratulations!
