The West Liberty Lions Club is celebrating the end of summer with a bang… or rather a “clang,” as they bring back the annual state-sanctioned Charlie Jones Memorial Horseshoe Tournament Saturday at West Liberty Lions Club Park. This year the tournament will host 42 world-class pitchers to compete for the title, according to Ohio’s top thrower and West Liberty’s very own Donn Epps.
The tournament is bookmarked by the Lions Club’s Pancake Breakfast from 8 to 11 in the morning and the Club’s Fish Fry from 5 to 7.
