Jamon Sellman, the owner and developer of the Willman Building project in Urbana spoke last week to the Urbana Lions Club to update the project’s status.
The Willman building, located at 215 North Main Street in Urbana was the home of Willman Furniture for eighty-seven years before closing its doors in August of 2022.
Sellman purchased the property with the vision of turning it into semi-luxury residential lofts on the second and third floor of the building with the main floor being used as a co-work space for businesses to use as office space.
Sellman’s vision is to spur residential growth in downtown Urbana.
Sellman says the project is on track to open the lofts for lease in November, and the main floor co-working space is on track for a December opening.
