A semi-truck struck a car Thursday while attempting to pass on U.S. 33 near Township Road 99.
According to the report, a 2007 Honda Accord was traveling westbound on U.S. 33 and stopped to turn left onto Township Road 99.
A 2023 Freightliner semi, also traveling westbound, failed to slow down and attempted to pass the car on the left.
The semi then struck the Honda.
The semi was operated by 26-year-old Carlos Sosa-Palacio of Rochester, Minnesota.
The Honda was driven by 45-year-old Michael Heberling of Kenton.
Sosa-Palacio was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
No injuries were reported in the crash.
