Benjamin Logan High School recently named its seniors of the month.

Name: Aubree Snyder

Parents: Keith Snyder

School activities and awards: Yearbook staff, National Honor Society, NTHS, Academic Letter, and Merit Award for Forensic Science and Digital Art.

If I were principal for a day: I’d remove the grading system and focus more on the student’s absorption of content.

Favorite School Memory: Building a fake crime scene for our Forensics final last year. My table group had a lot of laughs.

People who have been an inspiration to me include: Mrs. Wood, Mrs. Lane, Becky, my friends, my sister Tracy, and my step-mom Marlea.

Lately, I have been reading: The Maze Runner series.

My advice to parents: Grades are not always an accurate representation of what your child knows. A letter grade shouldn’t define us or our peers.

My biggest regret: I wish I had attended Benjamin Logan for all four years of high school instead of just two. This is a great school and community.

Next year I will be: Attending Ohio Wesleyan University and studying to become an English teacher.

Name: Carson Lyden

Parents: TJ and Kae Lynn Lyden

School activities and awards: BPA, FCA, Football, FFA, FFA Student Advisor, FFA Greenhand degree, Star Greenhand, FFA State degree, and Buckeye Boys State delegate.

If I were principal for a day: I would cancel school for the day.

Favorite school memory: National FFA Convention trips

People who have been an inspiration to me include: My parents and grandparents.

Lately, I have been reading: Facebook Marketplace

My advice to parents: We will be fine, let us take care of it.

My biggest regret: Dreaming, not doing.

Next year I will be: Working a job in the trades or attending a 2 or 4-year college studying Ag Systems Management.
