Thursday morning, officers from the Bellefontaine Police Department (BPD) Criminal Patrol Unit intercepted a stolen vehicle out of Michigan on North Main Street near Sandusky Avenue.
The vehicle, a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica van with an Arizona license plate, was stopped after the driver turned into the Speedway on South Main Street.
The driver, identified as Christa Dew, 44, of Southfield, Michigan, was removed from the vehicle and detained by officers.
Dispatch confirmed that the vehicle was a confirmed felony stolen vehicle from Michigan, leading to Dew’s arrest.
She was then transported to the Logan County Jail, where she was lodged on the charges related to the stolen vehicle.
