The January Seniors of the Month at Riverside are Alex Thuel and Braylon Dunn.
Alex is the daughter of Beth and Jason Thuel.
She participates in BPA, NHS, NTHS, Student Council, Cheer, and Band, and attended the Honda Academic Breakfast and the Evening of Excellence for the past three years.
If she were the principal for a day, she would go back to her kindergarten days and wear PJs while watching Polar Express and drinking hot cocoa.
Her favorite school memory is the senior play.
People who have been an inspiration to her include her coaches, parents, teachers, classmates, and even her co-workers.
Lately, she’s been reading Dear Evan Hansen.
Her advice to parents would be to always support your kids no matter what. Don’t make them do something, but always encourage it.
Her biggest regret is not taking opportunities soon enough.
Next year, Alex will be attending college to study culinary arts/restaurant management and business.
Braylon Dunn is the son of Roxanna Williams.
He participates in Football (selected for All-League, All-Area, All-District, and All-State), Basketball, BPA, and FCA.
If he were principal for a day, he would have a 7-on-7 football tournament.
His favorite school memory is 8th grade gym class.
People who have been an inspiration to him include his coaches, mom, and John Cena.
Lately, he has been reading absolutely nothing.
His advice to parents would be to be cool.
His biggest regret is a certain freshman-year incident that will remain unmentioned.
Next year, Braylon will be attending college and playing football.
