The 8th annual Live United Radiothon was held Friday morning on 98.3 WPKO.
The radiothon benefits the United Way of Logan County.
Executive Director Dave Bezusko brought in several local agencies who benefit from United Way dollars while volunteers took pledges during the three-hour event.
United Way funded agencies that spoke Friday morning were Lutheran Community Services, Logan County Cancer Society, Logan County Sheriff’s Office, RTC Services, Green Hills Community, Universal Home Health & Hospice, Caring Kitchen, and Logan County Neighborhood Outreach.
United Way of Logan County helps fund more than 40 different programs in the area.
The three-hour event raised $8,850 which goes toward the annual campaign.
This year’s campaign goal is $1.1 million. As of Friday they sit close to $900,000 for the campaign.
Logan County is the smallest county in Ohio to raise over a million dollars for its local United Way.
