A 45-year-old Urbana man was arrested Sunday evening following a reported physical altercation at a residence on East Reynolds Street.
According to the Urbana Police Division, officers were dispatched around 7:31 p.m. to the 300 block of East Reynolds Street after two males called 9-1-1 to report a domestic disturbance.
Officers separated the two males and began investigating what had occurred. Police said the incident started following an argument at the residence.
According to the report, Bradly Bush, 45, of Urbana, allegedly shoved the other male to the floor near a staircase. The other male reportedly grabbed Bush and placed him in a headlock before taking him to the ground in an attempt to calm the situation.
Police said Bush then allegedly struck the other male in the head multiple times with an open hand and closed fist.
Officers documented injuries from the altercation with photographs. Police also reported that Bush had visible injuries, including scratch marks to his neck and hands. Urbana EMS responded to the scene and evaluated Bush, but he declined transportation to the hospital.
The other male also declined medical transportation.
Police said Bush was taken into custody after officers determined he had struck the other male first. He was placed in handcuffs without incident and transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
Bush was charged with domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor, and assault, a first-degree misdemeano
