David Brookover, 41, of Kenton, was arrested on Wednesday after a short struggle with Bellefontaine Police officers at Mary Rutan Hospital.
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office had sent out a BOLO (Be On the Lookout) for Brookover, who had a warrant for his arrest from the Adult Parole Authority.
Officers were told he was at the hospital, driving a white Honda Accord, and were told that he had mental health issues and might have used methamphetamine.
Law enforcement found a white Honda Accord in the hospital’s west parking lot and saw a man matching Brookover’s description.
When they asked the man to identify himself, he gave a false name.
As officers tried to arrest him, Brookover resisted, pulling away and struggling.
After a brief struggle, officers were able to handcuff him.
Brookover was taken to the Logan/Hardin County line, where he was handed over to Hardin County deputies.
