SHARE NOW

On Friday morning, just before 7:00 A.M., drivers entering Bellefontaine were greeted by an unexpected water geyser caused by a water main issue near Northview Drive.

Residents in parts of Bellefontaine are advised to boil their water following a water main repair that has prompted a boil advisory.

The advisory affects the following areas:

  • 113-260 Northview Drive
  • 1640 North Main Street
  • 1673 County Road 9

Due to the ongoing repair work, the water supply in these areas may be compromised.

Residents are instructed to boil water for at least 5 minutes before using it for drinking, cooking, or any other consumption purposes.

If the water appears discolored or cloudy, let it run until it clears up before boiling.

The advisory is in effect until further notice.

The City of Bellefontaine is working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
