A woman was arrested Thursday night after witnesses reported she was running into traffic along State Route 235 near Chippewa Park.
According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, dispatchers received multiple calls just before 9:00 PM reporting that a woman was darting into the roadway and showing little concern for oncoming vehicles.
Law enforcement arrived and found the woman, later identified as 29-year-old Adrianna Craft, of Bellefontaine, in the parking lot of the Family Dollar/Dollar Tree store.
Deputies reported that she appeared disoriented and was acting erratically.
Authorities said Craft was largely unresponsive to questions, made little eye contact, and appeared confused.
She repeatedly attempted to walk toward the roadway despite concerns for her safety.
After deputies intervened several times to keep her from entering traffic and attempting to persuade her to seek medical treatment, Craft was arrested for persistent disorderly conduct.
According to the report, Craft resisted efforts to escort her to a patrol vehicle and had to be physically assisted into the cruiser.
She was transported to the Logan County Jail without further incident.
