The Benjamin Logan Raider grapplers traveled to Coldwater High School for the Coldwater Cavaliers Pool Tournament and finished tournament Runner-Ups. Again the Raiders were without a full roster but managed to compete tough and bring home some hardware. The Raiders will host cross-county rival, Indian Lake, on Wednesday, December 18, at 7:00 pm with the girls’ dual beginning at 6:00 pm.

Also competing for the Raiders were Jeremiah Parker, Maxwell Troth, Levi Achor.
Saturday was also good for West Liberty-Salem Tiger Wrestling, at the Coldwater Cavalier Tournament.
As a team, they reached as high as 3rd place throughout the day and ultimately finished 8th out of 20 teams.
At 106 Pounds, Wyatt Shoemaker went 2-3 with two pins to place 7th.
At 113 Pounds, Zayden Shafer had another strong performance, going 3-1 with a tech fall and a pin, to place 3rd.
At 120 Pounds, Madden Kilgore went 3-2 with three pins to place 4th.
At 126 Pounds, Lucas Merriman went 4-1 with one pin and three tech falls to place 3rd.
At 132 Pounds, Lance Saylor finished the day at 2-2 with two pins.
At 138 Pounds, Kyler Langhardt went 2-2 with two pins.
At 144 Pounds, Derek Wall finished the day 1-3 with a pin.
At 157 Pounds, Robert Park finished the day 1-2.
At 165 Pounds, Silas Krabill had a great season-opening, going 5-1 with three pins and two major decisions. He finished the day with a team-best second-place finish.
At 190 Pounds, Tim Krabill finished the day 0-3 but made a lot of strides and learned a lot.
At 215 Pounds, Sam Bradford finished the day 2-2 with two pins.
At Heavyweight, Maverick Reames went up a weight class and finished the day 1-3 with a pin.
The Tigers look forward to next week, where they have three days worth of home tournaments, in the first annual “Rumble in the Jungle” at West Liberty-Salem. Middle School will wrestle on Friday 12/20. High School Boys will wrestle on Saturday 12/21, And High School Girls will wrestle on Sunday 12/22.
