The Bellefontaine High School volleyball team hosted Tecumseh Tuesday night and won in straight sets 25-12, 25-15 & 25-13.
Madi Zedeker had a night to remember as she recorded her 623rd assist of the season, breaking the school record previously held by Jordan Lininger (2013, 604 assists) as well as achieved a milestone of 1000 assists ending the night with her 1005th assist of her career.
Zedeker also recorded 4 digs and had perfect serving going 12/12 with 3 aces.
Assists cannot come without kills Taylor Banta tallied 16 kills, while Kelsie Snapp had 12 kills, Ava Campbell chipped in with 6 kills, Kylie Adams had 5 kills and Ava Layman added 3 kills.
Snapp also had 15 digs, 20 serves, and a solo block.
Banta had 9 digs and was 7/7 serving.
Ava Reeves chipped in with 16 digs and Reagan Standley added 15 digs, and was 19/20 serving with 4 aces.
The JV Chiefs also won in straight sets: 25-13 & 25-13.
Kylee Boggs led the Chiefs with 6 digs, 4 assists, and was 12/12 serving.
Zoey Conner added 7 kills.
Kaeleigh Flora had 6 digs, 3 kills, and was 6/7 serving.
Presley Vigansky had 6 digs, a block, 4 assists, and was 6/7 serving with 2 aces.
Rylee Yelton added 3 digs and was 12/12 serving with 4 aces.
Jillian Ullom added 6 digs and was 6/7 serving.
The Chiefs travel to Kenton Ridge on Wednesday night.
