The Bellefontaine varsity cheerleading team shined in their first competition of the school year Sunday.
The Chiefs finished runner-up at the Hillclimber Haunt at Urbana High School.
Freshman Harper Penhorwood earned first place at jump off.
Team members include Harper Penhorwood, Corbin Baker, Mia Oppy, Belen Abrego, Brianna Kindle, Hailey Coyer, Ava Kunze, Ella Kuba, Lexi Yoder, and Lauren Valdez.
The Chiefs are coached by Alysia Kuba and Andrea Simon.
