BLMS boys claim team champions at North Union quad meet

Area middle school track and field teams delivered strong performances Monday night at the North Union Quad Meet, with Benjamin Logan Middle School sweeping both the boys and girls team titles over CBC rivals Bellefontaine and North Union.

Both Raider squads topped the 200-point mark, showcasing depth across sprints, distance events, relays, and field competitions.

Benjamin Logan Boys – 1st Place (244.83 points)

Benjamin Logan’s boys team turned in a dominant showing, piling up points with wins across multiple disciplines.

Hayes Boysel led the charge with victories in both the 100 (12.40) and 200 (26.14), while Carter Crumm captured the 400 (58.18). Kellen Woodruff added two more wins in the hurdles, taking the 110 hurdles (18.25) and 200 hurdles (29.50).

Relay teams were a major strength for the Raiders. The 4×100 team of Brayden Sims, Bentley Lewis, Anson Nichols, and Boysel won in 51.52, while the 4×200 squad of Cayde Buck, Nevada Coleman, Crumm, and Stone Angles finished first in 1:45.02. The 4×800 relay team of Marshall Elliott, Buck, Bentley Harrat, and Quinn Kuba also claimed victory.

In the field events, Zayden Wilson won the high jump (5-2), and Quinn Kuba took first in the long jump (15-5).

Benjamin Logan continued to build its lead with a number of runner-up finishes, including Santiago Solano in the 100 and 400, Stone Angles in the 200, and Nevada Coleman in the 200 hurdles. The Raiders also placed second in both the 4×800 and 4×400 relays, along with additional points in the high jump.

Depth scoring proved critical, as the team added multiple third- and fourth-place finishes across sprint, distance, relay, and throwing events to secure a commanding team victory.

Benjamin Logan Girls – 1st Place (217.50 points)

The Lady Raiders matched the boys with a first-place finish, powered by standout individual efforts and strong relay performances.

Pippa Zvansky was a double winner, taking first in the 400 (1:01.21) and 200 hurdles (33.20). Liberati Walters added a win in the 100 hurdles (18.69).

Relay teams once again played a key role. The 4×200 team of Jazmine McGue, Katie Shafer, Isabella Wohlgamuth, and Della Baker won in 2:01.74, while the 4×400 squad of McGue, Zvansky, Carolyn Wickline, and Adelia Leonard also captured first.

Marley Snoke secured another victory in the high jump (4-2), rounding out a strong group of first-place finishes.

The Raiders added several second-place performances, including Makinnly Allen in the 800, Carolyn Wickline in the 100 hurdles, and Juliana Chapman in the shot put. Additional runner-up finishes came from the 4×800 relay, Walters in the high jump, and Wohlgamuth in the long jump.

Strong depth across the roster led to numerous third- and fourth-place finishes, helping Benjamin Logan pull away in the team standings.

Bellefontaine Boys

Bellefontaine Middle School also turned in a competitive performance, highlighted by a first-place finish in the 4×400 relay from Sennett Stolly, William Jenkins, Nolan Parmer, and Eivahn Echipare.

Jackson Maus led the distance group with runner-up finishes in both the 1600 and 800, while Sennett Stolly added a second-place finish in the 110 hurdles and third in the 200 hurdles.

In the field events, Beau Gibson (2nd, shot put; 3rd, discus) and Ean Fultz (2nd, discus; 3rd, shot put) provided key points. Broxtyn Emrick tied for second in the high jump and added a fourth-place finish in the long jump, while Caleb Hudson placed second in the long jump.

Bellefontaine’s relay teams also performed well, with second-place finishes in both the 4×100 and 4×200.

Several athletes recorded personal-best performances, highlighting continued improvement across the roster.

Benjamin Logan will look to carry its momentum forward in upcoming meets, while Bellefontaine returns to action Thursday at home for the Larry Young Invite.
