Chiefs 12U Wins Championship in The Mad River RBI

The Chiefs 12U continue their hot start to the season claiming The Mad River RBI Silver Bracket Title at Southview Park over the weekend.

14 teams were in the 12U division.

The Chiefs suffered their first loss of the season Saturday morning, 15-8 to Mid-Ohio Destroyers.

They bounced back by defeating the Columbus Sharks 4-3 Saturday afternoon.

The Chiefs started Sunday off with a 9-6 win over Ohio Stealth followed by a 14-10 win over the Tomahawks propelling them into the championship game versus Westerville Naturals Orange.

The Naturals opened the scoring in the top of the first with 2 runs.

The Chiefs answered by scoring 4 runs in the bottom of the inning.

The Naturals were able to push across 2 more runs in the top of the second answered again by the Chiefs with 2 in the bottom of the inning.

The Chiefs shut down the Naturals for the remainder of the game eventually claiming the title with a 14-4 victory in 4 innings.

It was another weekend of great team baseball by the Chiefs 12U.
