Lady Chiefs bowl to 7th place at Blue and Gold Divisional Challenge

The Bellefontaine varsity girls’ bowling team took 7th at the Blue and Gold Divisional Challenge on Sunday.

The Lady Chiefs bowled 3 regular games and 5 baker games, then the field was cut to the top 8 teams.

Bellefontaine held the top spot through the first three regular games and 5 baker games but lost in a 2 game total pin roll-off against Wilmington.

The Lady Chiefs’ scores were 1,002, 882, 858 for 2,742. Bellefontaine added baker games of 168, 170, 211, 179, and 201 for 929 and a grand total of 3,671.

Gracie Hood paced Bellefontaine with a 643 series (246, 191, 206) and she also made the all-tournament team.

Kayla Watkins fired a 577 series (223, 184, 170), Aubrey Hudson rolled a 565 series (180, 206, 179), and Chloe Heminger bowled a 520 series (211, 151, 158).

The Bellefontaine girls will bowl in the Sectional Tournament next Wednesday, February 22 at Woodman Poelking Lanes in Kettering.
