Thursday night, West Liberty-Salem came out on top in a bowling match against Bethel.
The girls’ team posted a match total of 1853, defeating Bethel’s 1522.
Lilly Gearheart led the Tigers with a score of 172, Alyssa Mueller with 168, and Sadie Paul led the team with a score of 190.
Other contributors were Jenny Reprogle (117), Kathy Roehm (134), and Elli Ullery (161).
In the two-game total, WLS scored 1540, while Bethel had 1312, and WLS also won the two-game baker total 313 to 210.
The girls are now 6-2 overall and 2-1 in the OHC Conference.
On the boys’ side, West Liberty-Salem also was victorious with a match total of 2188, beating Bethel’s 2007.
Devon Jones led the boys with a score of 258, followed by Tucker Searles (230), Zander Gluckle (188), Luke Thomas (185), Brock Millis (147), and Evan Borgerding (122).
The boys’ two-game total was 1841 compared to Bethel’s 1598, while Bethel outscored WLS in the two-game baker total, 409 to 347.
Like the girls, the boys are 6-2 overall and 2-1 in the OHC Conference.
In the Junior Varsity matches, Carson Kerns scored 147, Jerome Cordrey had 124, Austin Markin posted a solid 198, Xzavior Nicholl scored 93, and Patrick Brooks finished with 136.
