Superintendent Dr. Bill McGlothlin
The Indian Lake School Board met on Monday to watch a presentation on educational information from the 2007-2008 school year and the current financial status of the district.
Tracy McPherson, president of the board, led the presentation at the high school auditorium.
The board is very pleased with the construction of the elementary school.
McPherson said they are three weeks ahead of schedule, but still plan to move into the building starting on August 3rd. (Audio interviews included.)

The Logan County Engineer's Office announces that Weiser Excavating will be doing roadwork near West Mansfield on Wednesday.
Crews will be installing a tile across County Road 142 between County Road 124 and County Road 26 in Bokescreek Township.
Work is planned from 7:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.
County Road 142 will be closed during these hours.

Greg Simpson
For the second time in less than a year, former Ohio State basketball standout Greg Simpson, 34, has been arrested on multiple counts during a traffic stop in Logan County.
Around one o'clock this morning, the sheriff's office stopped Simpson north of Huntsville on State Route 117 at State Route 366.
He was charged with speed, driving under suspension, seat belt, possession of marijuana, and carrying a concealed weapon.
He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.

Carson Long, III
A Huntsville man was arrested on a sex-related charge over the weekend.
Deputies from the Logan County Sheriff's Office charged Carson Long, III, 21, of 6577 Fruit Street with unlawful sexual conduct.
He admitted to having consensual sex with a 14-year-old Huntsville girl.
The incidents happened several times in June, July, and August.
The sheriff's office was contacted by the girl's mother on Saturday.

Remember this???
Ohio gasoline prices have dropped another 26 cents over the past week and have fallen so far that it now costs less to fill up than it did a year ago.
The price of a gallon of regular now averages about $2.68 statewide, down from about $2.94 last Monday, according to the daily survey from AAA and the Oil Price Information Service.
Gas prices in Bellefontaine are around $2.60 per gallon.
One year ago, the Ohio average for regular was $2.82 a gallon.
