Guest speaker Kevin DeWine rallies the crowd.
Logan County Republicans joined together to rally on Wednesday evening at the Winner Harvest Barn on State Route 47.
Several local politicians spoke during the event, which was held to both raise funds and morale among Logan County Republicans.
The guest speaker was Kevin DeWine. Mr. DeWine is the Deputy Chairman of the Ohio Republican Party. He's been a state representative since 2001 and has served as Speaker Pre Tempore since January 2007. (Video interviews included.)

Judge O'Connor
Nine defendants were sentenced by Logan County Common Pleas Court Judge Mark O'Connor earlier this week.
Richard McWilliams, 25, of Bellefontaine, was sentenced to ten months in prison for complicity to forgery.
Eddis Stanley, 29, of Belle Center, was sentenced to eight months in prison for trafficking in marijuana.
Jesse Miller, 18, of Rushsylvania, was sentenced to five years community control and ordered to pay a $500 fine, attorney fees, restitution, and court costs for grand theft.

DeGraff Village Council in session on Tuesday Night.
DeGraff Village Council met on Tuesday evening, the first meeting with new Mayor Gary Comer at the helm, and praised the village police department, talked about upcoming leaf pick-up, announced the commencement of construction of the new water tower and more.
DeGraff Police Chief George Piersall announced that the Citizen’s Police Academy officially got underway on Monday. This Academy is the first of its kind in Logan County and there are currently four students enrolled in the class, including two Urbana University students who get college credit for taking the course. There was a power point presentation on Monday night; next week the students will be touring the Logan County Jail. (Audio interviews included.)

US Senator Sherrod Brown
On Tuesday morning, United States Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) joined Logan County community leaders for a roundtable discussion on the economy, jobs, and healthcare.
Brown met with Logan County community leaders to discuss the latest economic development efforts in the region and how the federal government can assist with local growth, including investment in alternative energy research and development, health care, education and local economic development projects.

L to R: RTC Board President Karen Medaris, RTC Industries Associate Joe Oldiges, and Logan County Commissioner John Bayliss show off the new recycling agreement.
The Logan County Solid Waste Management District has handed over operation of its governmental office paper recycling collection service to RTC Industries.
The transition will help RTC expand its recycling business, which will lead to more employment for its associates.
Many community leaders participated in a ceremony in front of the Colonial Building Tuesday afternoon.
The Logan County Solid Waste Management District has operated a paper recycling service for government offices for the past fourteen years. (Video interviews included.)
