An early morning fire at the Whitmore House remains under investigation.

Bellefontaine Assistant Fire Chief Dwayne Dow says firefighters responded around two-thirty this morning.

Owner Sandy Musser reported seeing a glow behind the home.

After getting closer, she noticed the fire near a frequently used propane grill. (Pictures included.)

bellefontaine_fire_department_squad_on_12-07.jpgAn Adriel School van was involved in a minor injury accident just east of Bellefontaine last night.

The Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle wreck at the intersection of State Route 47 and Dowell Avenue shortly after six-thirty.

Troopers report that Adriel employee Aspen King, 24, of Bellefontaine, was driving a 2004 Ford Econoline E350 van westbound on Allison Road.

Bellefontaine man sent to prison for 9th DUI PDF Print E-mail

Earlier this week, seven defendants were sentenced and three defendants pled guilty before Logan County Common Pleas Court Judge Mark O'Connor.

Craig Clark, 43, of Bellefontaine, was sentenced to eighteen months in prison for driving while under the influence. Mr. Clark's license was suspended for three years and he was ordered to pay an $800 fine. This was Clark's ninth DUI conviction.

Jefferson Township Trustees plan roadwork in area PDF Print E-mail

jefferson_township_meeting_7-29-08.jpgMembers of the Jefferson Township Trustees met in regular session Tuesday night.

The board discussed bids for possible roadwork in the area and passed a resolution to begin replacing culverts, chipping and sealing area roads.

The construction is planned for the next few weeks. (Audio interview included.)

A Lakeview man was arrested on multiple sex-related charges early Tuesday for his alleged involvement with a local teenage girl this summer.

The Logan County Sheriff's Office charged Christopher G. Kindle, 38, of 11153 State Route 366, with ten counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

Each charge is a third-degree felony.

The victim is a 15-year-old girl from Lakeview.
