Watt leads Laker runners at Ft. Loramie Print E-mail

indian_lake_logo.jpgThe Indian Lake cross country team competed last night at Fort Loramie in a five-team meet.

The Lady Lakers finished 2nd.

Leading the way for the girls were sophomore Rachel Watt (2nd with a time of 21:53), freshman Ashley Albright (8th with a time of 23:46), junior Taylor Norviel (10th with a time of 24:19),  sophomore Melissa Bell (12th with a time of 24:53), senior Sarah Bell (14th with a time of 25:23), and sophomore Haley Tron (21st with a time of 27:55).

The boys team finished 4th.

The Chiefs won the Westerville North CC Classic Saturday.

Here are the team results:

1. Bellefontaine 28, 2. Big Walnut 51, 3. Olentangy Orange 103, 4. Jonathan Alder 127, 5. Northland 148, 5.  Highland 148,  7. Worthington Christian 176, 8. Grandview Heights 183, 9.  Grove City Christian 231

Ransbottom shines at Cridersville Speedway Print E-mail

checkered_flag.jpgIn go kart racing, Bellefontaine freshman Tyler Ransbottom was in action at Cridersville Speedway on Saturday night.

He competed in the unrestricted stock lite class.

Ransbottom started in the 11th position out of a field of 15 karts in the A Main.

He drove his Coyer Enterprise kart to a 5th place finish.

Shady Bowl Speedway and Waynesfield Motorsports Park hosted several feature races Saturday night.

Bellefontaine racer Aaron Pippin won the Iron Man 40 in sport stocks at Shady Bowl.

Other feature winners at the Bowl included:

Mike Durflinger of Bellefontaine captured the Detroit Iron main event.

Pirates rally past the Cardinals in volleyball Print E-mail

The scores were 24-26, 25-23, 25-21, 25-23.

Highlights for the Pirates were: 

Taylor Leiss had 10 pts, 4 aces, 11/15 hitting with 5 kills, and 4 blocks.
