baked_goods_auction_from_7-9-09.jpgFolks forked over a lot of dough for pies, cakes and all kinds of goodies Wednesday night at the Logan County Fair.

Local politicians, Mary Rutan Hospital officials, area families and representatives from many local businesses spent a total of $6,835.00 for 111 items at the Annual Baked Goods Auction. (Video interview included.)

A Grand Champion Lemon Cream Pie
The Open Class Building played host to the Pie Judging Wednesday morning at the fair.

The winners of that judging, along with breads, cakes, cookies and candies will be sold at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Baked Goods Auction also taking place in the Open Class Building.

Meghan and her Dairy Beef Feeder

Dairy Beef Feeders filled the show arena at the Logan County Fairgrounds today.

There were 10 classes of this particular type of livestock in a show that lasted nearly three hours.

Grand Champion Dairy Beef Feeder went to 13-year-old Meghan Wackerman.

Snipes takes home both Grand and Reserve T-Bones PDF Print E-mail

Isaiah with his Grand Champion T-Bone Steer
It was a very successful day at the 2008 Logan County Fair for Isaiah Snipes.

Isaiah won both the third and fourth class of T-Bone Steers before his final showing with his animals in the champion drive at the end of the show.

Isaiah, a 13-year-old 8th grader from Indian Lake Middle School, ultimately won both Grand and Reserve Champion with his two steers. (Audio interview included.)
