If you want entertainment this weekend, the Centerpoint Energy Dayton Air Show will give you thrills and excitement, and they have amazing performers lined up for their 2024 show.

The show is set for Saturday and Sunday at the Dayton International Airport.

Gates open at 9 AM.

The feature show is from 11:15 AM to 4:15 PM.

Gates close at 6 PM.

Gary Kauffman spent the day at the event for the preview on Friday.

“It was a hot hazy first Friday of the summer, but the action was much hotter than the temperature on the thermostat!! The performers started with the Army Golden Knights jumping out with the American Flag while Rob Reiner sang the Star Spangled Banner. The Golden Knights then displayed their parachuting prowess with other skills, including recovering from a failed parachute. The P-51 Swamp Fox came out and put on a show to remember. Showing why the P-51 was one of the most coveted airplanes of WWII. Then, the Blue Angels came out and dazzled the audience of media and VIP’s. The airplanes painted like Japanese “Zero’s” are from the 1970 movie “Tora! Tora! Tora!”. They are maintained and flown by the Commemorative Air Force. We flew over the parade that starts the Air Show weekend. They will hold a re-enactment of the bombing of Pearl Harbor on Saturday and Sunday (with real pyrotechnics),” Gary stated.

The Air Show is open to the public on both Saturday and Sunday.
