Steed Arrested on Bulk Drug Charges

Sunday afternoon, Logan County Sheriff’s Deputies heard a vehicle on State Route 235 with a loud exhaust.

They stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Donald Steed III, 45, of Russells Point.

Steed was asked to step out of the car and deputies performed a vehicle search.

During a pat down, they found a marijuana cigarette in his pocket and several baggies of a crystal like substance in his hand.

Steed admitted that the baggies contained methamphetamine.

He was arrested and transported to the Logan County Jail where he was charged with possession of controlled substances, tampering with evidence, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The methamphetamine that was on Steed weighed 6.54 grams.

A bulk amount is considered 3 grams.
