Logan County Sheriff Deputies responded to a domestic call in Lakeview Wednesday evening.
The caller stated that the suspect had fled the home in a grey Nissan.
While en route, Officers from Washington Township located a vehicle matching the description and identified the driver as Brandon Atkins, 42 of Lakeview.
Deputies responded to the home and spoke with the victim who was distraught and showed several bruises on her arms and face.
She stated that Atkins had pushed her down to the ground and had placed her in a chokehold, “training” her on how to get out of a chokehold.
She stated that she felt he went too far and hurt her.
A victim’s advocate arrived on the scene to assist the victim and deputies.
Washington Township Police placed Atkins under arrest for domestic violence and transported him to the Logan County Jail.
