On Thursday evening, the Bellefontaine Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire near the intersection of West Columbus Avenue and Evansville Street in the city.
Upon arrival, fire crews confirmed the fire was actively burning and immediately began extinguishing the flames. The fire was contained to the engine compartment, with minor damage extending into the passenger cabin.
The situation was quickly brought under control, and no further damage occurred. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Once the scene was cleared, all units returned to the station.
