Bellefontaine Shines at Solo and Ensemble

The Bellefontaine High School Music Department shined at a Solo and Ensemble competition at Milton-Union last Saturday.

Several students earned Superior ratings.

Julia Easton, Senior, Piano Solo, Superior rating, Class A

Gracie Hood, Sophomore, Violin Solo, Superior rating, Class C

Lucy Flood and Dalton Frazier, Freshman, Violin/Cello Duet, Superior rating, Class C

Gracie Hood and Lilly Hudson, Junior, Violin/Viola Duet, Superior rating, Class C

Additionally, 90 Bellefontaine Middle School and high school String Orchestra members and families attended a concert with the Springfield Symphony and Sarah Chang, violin soloist, at Kuss Auditorium last Saturday night.

The students and families enjoyed a meet and greet with Chang during intermission.

The BHS Choir excelled at Milton-Union as well.

The music instructors are Laura Mitchell (Orchestra) and Brice Henry (Vocal).
