A high-speed chase ended with the arrest of Alysha Smith, 30, of Bellefontaine, on Saturday after Logan County Sheriff’s Deputies observed her motorcycle speeding on US 33.
Deputies clocked Smith traveling at 91 MPH in a posted speed limit zone.
As they attempted to initiate a traffic stop, Smith’s speed increased to 124 MPH.
She continued to recklessly pass vehicles and use the shoulder of the road to navigate around traffic.
Smith exited US 33 at County Road 10 and continued her dangerous driving by passing several vehicles on the ramp.
She then turned north onto Township Road 180.
After a brief pursuit and a maneuver around a curve, Smith finally pulled over.
Deputies arrested Smith at the scene.
She was transported to the Logan County Jail and faces charges including speeding, reckless operation, failure to display a license plate, and improper passing.
