The Bellefontaine Joint Recreation District is holding Youth Basketball Signups.
Boys Basketball will have the following programs for 2023-2024
Little Dribblers :
Grades Kindergarten and 1st Grade
Three practice dates 11/20, 11/27, and 12/4 followed by a showcase game during the halftime of the BHS Girls Varsity Basketball Game on 12/6 vs Benjamin Logan.
2nd and 3rd-grade Rec League:
Practices occur on Thursdays & Saturdays beginning on 11/9.
Kids will practice together until Thanksgiving break.
After Thanksgiving, kids will begin practicing with their teams.
Games begin on the weekend of 1/6.
*Priority registration priority will be given to children who attend Bellefontaine City Schools for the 2nd & 3rd grade Rec League*
4th, 5th, 6th Grade Rec Basketball Program.
Practices occur on Saturdays and Wednesdays beginning on 11/11.
No activities during the week of Thanksgiving.
More information on games will become available once practices begin.
4th, 5th, and 6th Grade Travel
Teams playing in the Miami Valley League (Tryout Required).
Open Gyms: Any 4th, 5th, or 6th Grader who would like to try out for any of the MVL teams is invited to attend either of the two open gym sessions prior to tryouts.
Open gym dates & times are on October 17th and 24th at BHS Auxiliary Gym from 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
Tryout Dates:
- 4th Grade: Monday 10/30 & Wednesday 11/1 from 5:00 pm-6:30 pm at the Bellefontaine Intermediate School gym.
- 5th Grade: Monday 10/30 & Wednesday 11/1 from 6:30 pm-8:00 pm at the Bellefontaine Intermediate School gym.
- 6th Grade: Tuesday 10/31 & Wednesday 11/1 from 6:30 pm-8:00 pm at the Bellefontaine Elementary School gym.
