Bellefontaine Police arrested Joseph Buck, 21 of West Liberty, early Saturday morning for OVI, Nuisance Operation, and No Seatbelt.
While on patrol, officers heard a loud vehicle revving its engine multiple times.
They located a Ford pickup that had pulled through a parking spot and onto the sidewalk on West Columbus.
When they approached the truck, Buck was sitting in the driver’s seat.
Officers saw that he showed several signs of intoxication and could smell alcohol as they spoke with him.
Buck was asked to step out of the vehicle and to perform several field sobriety tests, which he failed.
Officers placed him under arrest and he was transported to the Bellefontaine Police Department.
At the police department, Buck blew a BAC of .197 & second test of 0.201, both over two times the legal limit.
Buck was released to a sober driver.
