Bradley Vernon, 33, of Bellefontaine was charged with multiple offenses on Sunday.
Bellefontaine Police saw Vernon on South Main Street swerving, then turn onto West Buckingham Avenue, continuing to swerve on the roadway, and nearly hitting a parked vehicle.
When they initiated a traffic stop, they could smell the aroma of alcoholic beverages coming from Vernon.
He then failed several field sobriety tests.
Vernon was placed under arrest for OVI and transported to the police department.
There he blew a BAC of .120, just under two times the legal limit.
He was charged with two counts of OVI, no operator’s license, operation under suspension, failure to reinstate, turn signal violation, and failure to control.
Vernon was released to a sober driver.
