This past weekend, the Bellefontaine Walmart became the center of holiday cheer as local law enforcement officers and community members came together for the annual “Shop with Kids” event.

Six children from Bellefontaine, Ben Logan, Indian Lake, Riverside, and West Liberty were selected to take part in this special holiday shopping experience.

The children had the opportunity to shop for themselves or others, with many choosing to buy gifts for their siblings or parents.

Officers from the Bellefontaine Police Department, Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Russell’s Point Police Department, and West Liberty Police Department worked alongside community volunteers to make the event a success.

Thanks to the generous contributions from local businesses and organizations, a total of $3,000 was raised to fund the shopping event.

The following businesses and organizations played a key role in making this event possible: The Euchre Club, Logan County Sheriff’s Office, The Local Realtor Group, Liberty Chiropractic, Durnell’s RV Sales, City Sweets and Treats, Middlefield Bank, LeVan’s Excavating, Bellefontaine Grace Church, Tanner’s Towing, Sunlight Windows, Choice Properties (Teri Frymyer), Quest Bank, D&J Scrap, Anspach Mowing, Sweet Aromas, Maple Leaf Sports Medicine, Golden Reserve, Mary Rutan Hospital, Wenger’s Produce, The Town Trolley, The Butcher Market, Small Nation, Buckeye Wash and Tan, Elle A Design, Logan Labs LLC, Suzy’s, Nick Davis Council, Buckeye Pizza, The Minnon’s, Scotts Equipment, Rocky Kelly, Tops Towing, McJack’s Towing, Kelly’s Septic, RTC Industries, Bellefontaine Fire Department, and Hi-Point Business Solutions.
