Two people were arrested Sunday evening after a domestic violence incident in Russells Point.
Twenty-one-year-old Ryan Strong and 26-year-old Destiny Erwin were arrested after Russells Point Police responded to a 911 hang-up call around 7:15 p.m.
Russells Point Police, along with Logan County Sheriff’s deputies and Washington Township Police, responded to the scene and determined that an argument between the two had turned physical.
According to the police report, Erwin allegedly forced her way into a boathouse, damaging the door and door frame.
Once inside, she allegedly hit Strong several times.
Strong told officers he pushed Erwin during the confrontation.
Erwin told police that Strong also assaulted her, saying he hit her, grabbed her hair and dragged her outside.
After speaking with those involved and witnesses, officers arrested both on domestic violence charges.
Erwin was also charged with criminal damaging.
Strong was additionally arrested by the Logan County Sheriff’s Office on charges of disorderly conduct and obstructing official business.
Deputies say he refused several orders to move away from the area while Erwin was being arrested.
Both Strong and Erwin were lodged in the Logan County Jail.
